What does a flying buttress have to do with Memorial Day?

Overview
As we honor those who have given their lives for our country, this sermon focuses on the God-given role of men in the family and in the world. Men are to protect those under their care, serve as spiritual leaders, deal with conflict appropriately, and be a godly influence. And men can’t do it alone – they need other men to be their flying buttresses – a flying buttress is an architectural element that acts as a support to allow the building to go higher.
