God’s plan seldom matches our plan, but we know whose is better

What do you do when God doesn’t meet your expectations? Like Naaman the leper, do you try to bypass God’s plan or get angry because he doesn’t do it your way? We often have to go through the river of obedience, forgiveness, consecration and humbling before God transforms our lives like he did Naaman’s.
What does it mean to work for Jesus and what’s in it for you?

It means you bear fruit – you are productive. It brings glory to God, builds friendships, moves you toward maturity and gives you joy. So if you aren’t serving God right now because you feel inadequate, don’t have the resources, or fear failure – join the club! You’re right where you need to be to see God do amazing things as you trust him with those issues and get to work.

Think about these two statements: What we plant in our hearts, we harvest in our actions, words and character. Put another way, what we sow in our hearts, we reap in our lives. That is why the Bible says that, above all, we are to guard our hearts. God provides the seeds of good things, and we provide the space for them to grow in our hearts. It’s up to us to plant and cultivate what is right.
