Small Groups

“We proclaim Him [Christ], admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ,” Colossians 1:28.

This verse sums up the goal of our Small Group Ministry.  The Bible encourages all believers to strive for a closer personal relationship with God and continued fellowship with other believers.  Our small group ministry is designed to accomplish both of these goals.  We do this by opening up the Word of God together and studying it closely with one another.  Studying the Bible together is vital for every believer’s spiritual life.  A small group is a place to give and receive care through the joys and difficulties of life.  Romans 12:10 says to “be devoted to one another with brotherly love,” and this happens through prayer, counsel, encouragement, help, etc. for one another.  Every believer needs to be in an accountability relationship to grow in areas of our walk with the Lord.  A small group is a great place to be authentic with other believers.  Small groups offer the privilege of praying for other people.  We all need to pray for others and receive prayer and Small Groups ensure this happens.  Lastly, our small groups reach out to the community and to non-believers.  They are a place to serve alongside other members of our church.  We can share the gospel with non-believers by inviting them to the group.  Small groups are key for our church as we desire to grow and impact our community for Jesus Christ.
